MYSTERIOUS BLACK BLINI

Delicious black pancakes with caviar or jam.

Ingredients

  • MAKFA Pancake Mix 1 cup
  • milk 1 cup
  • cuttlefish ink 4 grams
  • butter 60 grams
  • vegetable/olive oil 30ml
  • red caviar
  • sour cream
  • red berries jam

Cooking

  1. Combine warm (35-40°C) milk, soften butter and cuttlefish ink in a bowl. Then add MAKFA Pancake Mix and whisk until the lumps disappear, the consistency of the dough should resemble liquid sour cream.
  2. Add vegetable/olive oil, mix it again and let it rest.
  3. Cook the blini for 90 seconds. Then flip it over and cook the other side for 1 minute. Repeat until you run out of dough.
  4. Use sour cream as you main painting instrument — just follow your imagination.
  5. Use caviar and jam to brightly decorate different pancakes.
  6. If kids will ask you why is it black — don’t tell them. Let this tasty mystery be your secret ingredient.
